It's true that the female vagina topic has always been considered taboo. Even when the word "penis" had stopped making people blush it still seemed as if women's genitals were just not so interesting. Now we find out it's not true. Vagina is a part of a body. Moreover, it is a part of a body that is specific for each woman - teen vagina is tight, other is loose, some are compact - just like breasts. Maybe the research of its size has been regarded as controversial because it is much complicated to find it out than in case of men.
If discussing the size of vagina we have to bear in mind that it could be either in relaxed or aroused state. If relaxed the walls are collapsed together and the cervix is located closer to the front. In aroused state the cervix pulls up and the vagina becomes wider, longer and open. In either state the vagina walls are very elastic, they can strech in length and width. But that exciting feeling full of pleasure that all of us women love only appears when the vagina is streched when aroused (or "tented").
Are you curious about the exact numbers? So was I, sometimes, when I tried to reach as far as I could with my middle finger. (I gave up after I found out I can fit an aluminium capsule for a cigar in there and there is still place behind.) A typical relaxed vagina is 3.5 to 4 inches long (8.9 to 10 centimeters) and has less than one inch (2.5 cm) in diameter. On the other hand when aroused the size reaches 5 to 6 inches or 12.5 to 15+ centimeters, with approximately 1.5 to 2.5 inches in diameter (3.8 - 6.3 cm). Personally, I think that the diameter or width of open vagina is even more difficult to measure. Sometimes I just poke one finger inside and the other day a large cucumber or my partners huge cock slip in just perfectly. So let's believe the researchers have done an accurate work and these numbers are the average.
As I said before, just like penises, the vaginas vary in size. But unlike men the differences are less extreme. It is supposed that approx. 60 percent of women have an average-sized vagina (only 40% of men's penises are average) and almost none of them can be considered extra small. Due to childbirth, there is quite a lot women with large and x-large vagina sizes. But you mothers can get your vagina in shape and fit again with special exercises.
So is there anything you might want to remember from this article? Yeah, you now can count on, that average woman can handle penis 9 inches (almost 23 centimeters) long with 2.5 inches (6.3 cm) in diameter.
